All For One And One For All
Or maybe just "all or one."
After we added a list of articles to our detail pages (More Detail), we were asked why we couldn't do the same thing in the nightly BlogMail. We can, and now we have! Now you can elect to get summaries of all the new articles that have been posted since we last sent you blogmail, instead of just the latest. To enable this feature, go to the options section of the account page and set "Articles to Show" to "All New". You can go back to receiving only the one latest summary by choosing "Only Latest."
A few caveats:
- You must be receiving the HTML-formatted BlogMail to be able to get article summaries.
- Some blogs don't provide dates for individual articles. In that case, we will continue sending only the latest article.
- Some blogs don't provide the data on the individual articles (in tech speak: no RSS) and we will keep showing only a link to those blog.
Hope you enjoy the new feature. Please keep those suggestions coming -- we always are interested in knowing about ways we can improve the service for you. Posted by Andy MacDonald at May 24, 2006 12:19 PM
Andy,
I have been enjoying the new changes! Two things I wanted to point out.
First, it seems lines in each entry of my daily blogmail (and on the web page where you can view your email) are slightly cutoff. Really it is only half of the last character on long lines. Not sure if this is showing up on other accounts or it is just mine.
Second, is there a way to re-order the blogs in an account? I priortize my blog reading and would like to place some of the blogs on top lower in the list. If not, any thoughts on a change?
Again, like the new changes. Keep up the great work!

Glad you like the new changes! We'll have a look to see what we can do about the lines that are cut off. I haven't noticed it myself, but perhaps there is something we can do to make it more reliable.
About ordering your blogs: hold tight for a week or two. We've got some changes in the pipe that I think you'll be pleased with, and it includes being able to reorder your blogs. We'll announce it on this blog when it gets released!
